Jack’s Place in Singapore
During this trip back in Singapore, I discovered a few good things, Jack’s Place.
The usual restaurants in Singapore malls often rush through their existing customers to finish their meals quickly, so that more customers can come in and have their meals. Sometimes, customers queuing outside the restaurant’s main entrance look inside to check on the seated customers having their meals and to see if any tables will become available soon. Their eyes carry the meaning of hoping to spot someone’s table that is about to finish their meal and is ready to leave, so that they can secure the table soon. I was never able to enjoy my meals in that type of environment. But I discovered Jack’s Place this time.
Jack’s Place is the place to go to enjoy my meal comfortably and nice food. With some unplanned events, I went for meals at Jack’s Place 5 times during my 10 days stay in Singapore. Compliments go to the Jack’s Place at Bras Basah Complex and Jem.

The aunties (waitresses) and managers were taking care of me on my first visit. Firstly, one auntie (waitress) gave me a warm smile and greeted me, and I greeted her back. It's already put me in a happy mood. Then, the manager (of the day) asked if I would like a colder spot or a less cold spot, as I ate alone and I preferred to be able to enjoy my meal warm and comfortable, I got my “less cold” seat. The food arrived in 10 minutes after I ordered. It came with steam clouding on top of the food. The second thing that made me happier. I was reading an ebook on my phone while enjoying my food alone. The soup was yummy and the beef steak was fantastic!
Thirdly, also the most important thing to a customer like me, I could enjoy my meals comfortably until I left the table. The environment is cosy and warm. I could enjoy my meal at my own pace, and then have dessert and tea or coffee at the end. I’m very impressed with the service they provide. And this same thing happens at Jack’s Place at Jem.

On a Sunday, I took my daughter there for lunch. We ordered three main dishes because we were greedy and hungry that day. We wanted to try different dishes at the same time. We spent a great time there during that lunch. We had a nice chat and enjoyed our meal, which left us with a good memory. When we left the place, we went to the counter for payment, and the manager gently checked if everything was okay during the meal because we had not finished our food. I replied that everything was good; we were greedy, having ordered too much, but we were unable to finish everything. However, the food was really lovely, and we enjoyed eating there!
This is important for a restaurant to provide a comfortable environment, offer nice meals, and allow customers to feel at ease. And now I could say that I had a nice time with my daughter and my own during the trip back to Singapore. Thank you, Jack’s Place. 🙏🏼
